The Detroit Tigers wrap up their regular season with a series in Kansas City, and they can secure the AL Central title with one win. The Tigers are three games up on the Chicago White Sox, and since both teams have just three games to play, any Tigers win or White Sox loss will give Detroit the division title and the playoff berth that goes with it.

The Tigers have won two games in a row and seven of their last 10. The Royals enter the series on a rough streak, as they've lost seven of 10.
The Tigers are scheduled to start Rick Porcello (9-12, 4.68 ERA), and the Royals are going to go with Bruce Chen (11-13, 5.13). Porcello has not won a start since early August, and his last appearance -- which came against the Royals -- resulted in a no-decision.
