The Detroit Tigers announced ticket sales for an ALCS series prior to punching their ticket past the Athletics, but it worked out well for them. Now, according to the official Tigers Twitter account, the team is going to put tickets for potential home games in the World Series up for sale on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
Fans can get tickets by visiting the official website at Tigers.com or calling (866) 66-TIGER on Wednesday. The games would be Oct. 27-29 at Comerica Park. Games three, four and five would be played in Detroit, if necessary. Games one, two, six and seven would be played at the National League champion's ballpark.
The Tigers hold a 2-0 series lead over the Yankees as of Tuesday, and will take them on again Tuesday night, with ace Justin Verlander taking the mound. Game four would be on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m, and a potential fifth game would be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, though the Tigers hope to have the series swept by then.
