Yankees vs. Tigers: ALCS Game 4 delayed due to rain

The start of Wednesday night's pivotal Game 4 between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees has been delayed due to weather in the Detroit area. There has been no indication yet as to when the game might get underway.

Inclement weather has been an issue throughout the middle part of the country on Wednesday, as Game 3 of the NLCS between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants was paused in the bottom of the 7th due to wind and rain.

The Tigers, of course, will be going for a sweep of the Yankees, but will have to deal with New York ace CC Sabathia. In Game 3 on Tuesday night, the Tigers got a gem of a start from reigning Cy Young winner Justin Verlander, one which Sabathia would likely want to replicate.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi has been tinkering with the team's lineup, and Wednesday night will see Curtis Granderson and Alex Rodriguez on the bench, with Nick Swisher -- who was benched on Tuesday night -- batting second and playing right field.
