Yankees vs. Tigers: ALCS Game 4 postponed due to rain

The Detroit Tigers will have to wait one more day before they get a shot at sweeping the New York Yankees. Game 4 of the ALCS on Wednesday night has been postponed due to rain, pushing the game back to Thursday. First pitch on Thursday will be at 4:07 p.m. ET, and all tickets for Wednesday's game will be honored. A potential Game 5 has been pushed back to Friday.

Game 4 had initially been delayed at the start, but it was decided that the weather in Detroit wasn't going to clear up anytime soon and that it would be best to play the game on Thursday. Inclement weather in the central part of the country has affected both leagues' championship series, as Game 3 of the NLCS is currently delayed in the seventh inning.

The pitching matchups for Game 4 are not expected to be affected, although certain relievers who would not have been available on Wednesday may be on Thursday.
