Justin Verlander still getting questions about Kate Upton

After his grandfather confirmed rumors earlier in the month, Justin Verlander continues to face questions about his relationship with model Kate Upton.

Set to take the mound in Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander continues to field questions from reporters about his rumored relationship with model Kate Upton.

When pressed on the issue this week, the former MVP winner had no desire to reveal even the slightest bit of evidence.

"I'm not confirming or denying anything," Verlander told Bob Nightengale of The Detroit News. "I'll leave that to my grandfather. God bless him."

Even though his grandfather confirmed the rumor that the pair were dating to a reporter back in early October, it's obvious Verlander has no desire to set the media in a frenzy with his team just hours away from the start of the World Series.

It's probably safe to say the veteran pitcher and every last member of his family will likely be bombarded with questions about Upton until something concrete emerges, but this is obviously not the best time for the Tigers to deal with any off-the-field drama. While Upton's presence at any World Series games may further intensify things in the media, it should at least be comforting to know that Verlander is not the type to let this type of distraction alter his performance on the field.
