The Detroit Tigers may have come up short in the World Series this year, but they have already been labelled as favorites to win the 2013 World Series by Bovada. The Tigers lead the pack with 6/1 odds to win it all next year, followed by the Yankees at 15/2, the Giants at 10/1, and the Angels, Rangers and Nationals at 12/1.
The other teams in the AL Central all have pretty long odds of winning the World Series, which may be part of the reason why Detroit's odds are so good. The White Sox are the next highest, at 28/1, followed by the Twins at 66/1, the Indians and Royals bringing up the rear at 75/1.
The Tigers performed below their talent level during the 2012 regular season, winning only 88 games when they were predicted to run away with the division. Thankfully for them, the rest of the AL Central wasn't very good, either. The odds makers seem to think the Tigers will play closer to their potential next year.
