Game times and TV schedules have been released for the first three games of the American League Division Series between the Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics. The first and third games will be televised on TBS, while the matinee in Game 2 will be shown on MLB Network.
The Tigers also announced their starting rotation for the series, and Justin Verlander is set to start Game 1 on Saturday, Doug Fister will take the ball in Game 2, Anibal Sanchez is the Game 3 starter, and Max Scherzer goes in Game 4 (if necessary). AL Division Series - Oakland Athletics vs.Detroit Tigers
Game 1 - Saturday, Oct. 6 at Detroit (6:07 p.m.) -- TBS
Game 2 - Sunday, Oct. 7 at Detroit (12:07 p.m.) -- MLB Network
Game 3 - Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Oakland (9:07 p.m.) -- TBS
Game 4 (if necessary) - Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Oakland
Game 5 (if necessary) - Thursday, Oct. 11 at Oakland
The winner of this series will take on the winner of the series between the New York Yankees and either the Baltimore Orioles or Texas Rangers. The AL Championship Series is set to begin Oct. 13.
